The rule
We build nothing that does not answer a decision already taken.
A tool with no strategic reason to exist ends up unused, however well it is made. That is why Build never operates as a production studio on its own: every project arrives with an explicit brief setting out what the product must make possible, and for whom.
That brief comes from Consulting when we support the business end to end. It can just as well come from you: where the positioning is clear and the decision made, Build can work on its own.
We build bespoke where it creates an advantage, and use existing tools where they suffice. Rebuilding what off-the-shelf software already does well is a cost, not an investment — and we say so before we start.
What we deliver is built to be taken over: readable code, documentation, handover of know-how. The aim is that the business stays independent, not that it comes to depend on us.
